The OPP said the student was originally from Bangladesh and was living in Barrie.
An international student living in Barrie has died after a collision on Tuesday night.
Aurora OPP were called around 11:20 p.m. to Highway 400 southbound, just south of Dunlop Street for a collision. OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said a pedestrian, a 20-year-old student from Bangladesh, was struck and killed. Police located two vehicles that had been involved in the collision at the scene. The pedestrian was also located and was pronounced dead at the scene, Schmidt told the Star.While investigators appeal for witnesses or anyone who had seen the man prior to the incident, it is unclear at this time why or how he ended up on the highway.
