International customers can now leave their Standard Bank Offshore card at home and pay with Apple Pay.
This means customers can now leave their cards in a safe location while out and about while still being able to make payments.Customers with a Standard Bank Offshore account can now link their payment cards to their iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch and make use of Apple Pay.
“This helps customers avoid handing their card to someone else, touching physical buttons or exchanging cash — and uses the power of iPhone to protect every transaction. The main benefit to Standard Bank Offshore customers is that they avoid having to take their physical card with them when they are out and about, so Apple Pay is convenient, simpler and safer,” Standard Bank Offshore said in a press release.
“Once a customer adds a card to iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, they can start using Apple Pay on that device right away. Customers will continue to receive all of the benefits offered by Standard Bank Offshore’s debit cards,” Standard Bank Offshore added.
