The home nation started a host of their key players from the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations success in Jermaine Seoposenwe, Andile Dlamini, Noxolo Cesane, Linda Motlhalo and Refiloe Jane.
Banyana soaked up the early pressure and worked their first meaningful chance from a ball in-behind which found Seoposenwe and she directed the resultant delivery wide. The visitors freshened up their stall ahead of the second half, with debutant Beatriz Zaneratto on for Deborah de Oliveira and Micaelly replaced Kerolin.
