They are seeking a dedicated professional to join their Cape Town CBD office. From day one, you’ll own features end-to-end—from database design through backend APIs to front-end UX—and be responsible for the ongoing health, stability, and evolution of their core systems.Design, implement, document, and maintain applications across front-end, backend, and data layers.Continuously improve code quality, performance, and resilience.Build new features using modern front-end frameworks and CSS tooling.Apply SOLID principles and modular architecture to ensure components are reusable and testable.Design and maintain relational or NoSQL schemas to support application needs.Optimize queries and data access patterns for scalability.Leverage UI libraries or CSS frameworks .Write unit tests for front-end components and backend services .Aim for high test coverage on core logic.Manage environment-specific configuration to switch between development, staging, and production without code changes.Support containerization and CI/CD pipelines .Produce clear README and inline documentation for setup, running, and testing.Participate actively in code reviews and team planning sessions.Front-End: Proficient with one major framework , plus HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.Experienced with modern server-side platforms .Skilled in SQL databases and comfortable with migrations/ORMs .Hands-on with unit testing frameworks and basic integration/E2E testing.Version Control:Take full responsibility for the features and systems delivered.Problem-Solving:Write concise documentation, ask thoughtful questions, and share progress clearly.
