A Frogger instant game lottery ticket worth $400,000 was sold at the Exxon Mobil gas station at 17500 Dixie Highway.

A lottery ticket worth $400,000 was sold recently at a Homewood gas station, according to the Illinois lottery. It was the first ticket to win the top prize in the lottery’s new Frogger game, fashioned after the old-school arcade game. The instant ticket game was launched by the lottery last month.

The scratch-off ticket was bought at an Exxon Mobil gas station at 17500 Dixie Highway, according to the Illinois Lottery. For selling the winning ticket, the station will receive a bonus of 1% of the prize, or $4,000. The owner of the station intends to share a portion of the bonus with employees, according to the Illinois Lottery. The lottery said the station had, in May 2017, sold a Lucky Day Lotto ticket carrying a prize of $600,000. mnolan@tribpub.
