creative chair Antwaun Sargent revealed this year’s Black Visionaries grant recipients. In partnership with Instagram and the Brooklyn Museum, Sargent awarded $650,000 in grants to 10 Black artists, designers, and Black-owned small businesses working across art and design in light of the program's dedication to uplifting and investing in Black voices and organizations.
And just when you thought it couldn't get better than that, the Brooklyn Museum and Instagram also partnered with the nonprofit organization, Mobile Makers to provide mentorship to the recipients as well. When asked about the overall goal of the program, Sargeant said, “Community builds community and that’s the intentionality behind what we’re trying to establish here.
