The finale, which was called ‘The Last Weekend’, aired last night , and depicted the relationship of Joe and Chas . After nine years together, in which they are “truly in love”, the pair were faced with the unenviable task of saying goodbye to each other.The episode received praise from audiences, with one Twitter user writing: "I need to say this too often, but we don’t deserve @ReeceShearsmith and @SP1nightonly.
