Inside nine abandoned buildings left decaying in Greater Manchester and beyond
Manchester is home to a variety of abandoned buildings and locations that have sadly been left empty and decaying for years.
Hulme Hippodrome The Grade II listed Hulme Hippodrome opened in 1901 but has stood empty for decades since its closure in 1986. The MEN found brilliant photos of the theatre, showing the dilapidated state of the once grand venue in 2013. The full article and all of the photos can be viewed here. The Market Centre Manchester’s lost underground shopping centre was once home to everything you could possibly need, but since its closure in 1989, part of it has remained empty and decaying.
