Blackpool can lay claim to a wealth of top acting talent - and you might not know that Hollywood star David Thewlis can count himself among them. Perhaps most known for his role as Professor Lupin in several of the smash hit Harry Potter films, the 59 year-old's on-screen achievements stretch far beyond the wizarding world.
When he became old enough to find his own way in the world, he moved to London with his band Door 66. But instead of music, he changed his plans and decided to pursue acting by entering Guildhall School of Drama. David captioned the picture, which was posted to mark his sister's birthday, with the phrase: "Happy Birthday to my darling sister, Julie. Here we are looking beyond stylish in the back garden in Blackpool.
The image offered a glimpse into his home as a cosy dinning area could be seen in the somewhat blurry image with a huge wooden table stand in front of a set of French doors in the spacious room.
