Mamelodi Sundowns are open to letting Kermit Erasmus leave the club, but there is a lot that needs to happen behind the scenes for a deal to go through. SLSiya Read more:
Kermit Erasmus of Mamelodi Sundowns celebrates scoring a goal during the Nedbank Cup quarter final match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Summerfield Dynamos at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on April 09, 2022 in Pretoria, South Africa.
The Siya crew has been informed that Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Kermit Erasmus is eager to make a move before the window closes, but it could be easier said than done. Erasmus is in the final season of his contract with the DStv Premiership winners, having joined on a three-year deal from Cape Town City in 2020.
It's believed that there is also an option of a loan move, with Sundowns being able to carry part of his salary. Nothing is concrete at the moment, but there is a week left before the window closes and Erasmus will be hoping he can find a home where he can get game-time. The former Orlando Pirates striker is yet to make an appearance for Sundowns this season and the jersey number 11 he wore is now on the back of new signing Marcelo Allende. The club is yet to fully explain the reason behind the change in jersey numbers, but it could also spell the end for Erasmus at Chloorkop.
