Simple switchgear—such as seen here in the 2005 Volvo V70—can be far more intuitive than scrolling through screens, the study showed.The outright winner of the test was the screen-free 2005 Volvo V70, allowing drivers to complete the tasks in just 10 seconds using solely buttons. Perhaps this result should not be surprising, as the Swedish journalists conducting the tests have been familiar with the V70 for 17 years.
