Former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's resignation has exonerated Parliament 's secretary, Xolile George , from answering to allegations that his salary irregularly swelled by nearly 70% shortly after his appointment.
Towards the end of last year, the DA's Siviwe Gwarube laid charges against Mapisa-Nqakula for her role in the salary debacle.
