Inexperienced IEC officials, spoilt ballots and Covid-19 vaccines mark election day
DA and Freedom Front Plus agents told City Press that this happened at Noordheuwel High School voting station in Krugersdorp, which falls under Mogale City Local Municipality.
When City Press arrived at the school at about 10am, it was welcomed by a long queue, with DA party agent Louise Smit claiming that the station was disorganised: Johann Pretorius, FF+ party agent, confirmed that he had also seen the three ballot papers. “We are not fighting about it, but we will want an explanation. It’s possible that there was an error. Some of the officials don’t know what they are doing. It’s the first time that they are doing this.”READ: However, despite these concerns, ANC party agent Emely Motloung said there were no issues at the station. “Things are okay,” she said.
