Independent presidential candidate Cornel West threw his support behind a campus protest Wednesday against Israel's retaliatory military campaign in Gaza, which he called"genocidal."
In a video statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, West said that he was going to the University of California, Los Angeles to join a Wednesday protest organized by Students for Justice in Palestine that is taking place on more than 100 college campuses all over the nation. The protest is the second such national action organized by the group since Hamas terrorists launched a series of attacks on Oct. 7.
