Incredible footage of a fin whale has been spotted by a tourist boat off the west coast of Scotland this week.
Transporting tourists around the isle, the boat was in the perfect place and the perfect time when they spotted the whale rising to the surface.Footage uploaded on the Hebrides Cruises trip's social media shows sightseers leaning over the edge of the boat with cameras as the massive mammal frolics in the water nearby, the Daily Record reports.
"Our vessel Elizabeth G is on a 10 day trip and was in the area with guests watching dolphins nearby, however we spotted the blow of the fin whale from miles away. Fin whales are said to be in Scottish waters all year round but sightings that far south are rare and they are most often spotted around Orkney, Shetland, and the Western Isles.
