Nottinghamshire Police have stepped up patrols on a residential street following reports of 'suspicious activity'. The activity was reported on Wellington Street, Stapleford, and its nature has not been disclosed.

The force is now urging anyone who sees anything out of the ordinary to contact them. Inspector Mike Ebbins, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Having been made aware of suspicious activity in the Wellington Street area, we have taken action and increased patrols in the area. “While we have stepped up patrols, I would urge anyone who sees any suspicious activity in their area to report it immediately by calling Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
