'We would urge residents to think carefully about where they have parked'
Shockingly bad parking caused delays to a fire crew in response to a Northamptonshire kitchen blaze. At just after 10pm on Saturday , firefighters from Rothwell were called to assist colleagues at an incident in Kettering.
Thankfully, the fire was out prior to the arrival of our Kettering crew and no injuries were reported. The Rothwell crew has seen a recent increase in residents using the forecourt for turning and parking, as well as double parking in streets close to the station. It is not the first time they have experienced this issue in Rothwell, as the service did a similar appeal back in January 2022. On Sunday, the station at Earls Barton also saw a number of cars parked in their car park.
