Torrential rain from typhoon “Henry” has closed Kennon Road since Friday, Sept. 2, while several national roads in Mountain Province were hit by rockslides Saturday, Sept. 3, the Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera said.

Several road sections are also experiencing close-open situation where falling rocks and debris and slope collapse may occur due to inclement weather. The Napu section of the road in Bontoc Ili, Bontoc, Mountain Province was also closed because of slope collapse. Motorists were advised to take the Maba-ay-Abatan Provincial Road as alternate route.
Motorists were advised to take the Talubin-Barlig-Natonin-Paracelis-Calaccad Road then the Mountain Province-Nueva Vizcaya Road or the Tabuk-Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao-Mountain Province Road.
