SINGAPORE – Kenyan authorities have temporarily suspended all flights at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi on Monday , following an aborted take-off by a Singapore Airlines cargo plane.

Information on flight tracking website Flightradar24 showed flight SQ7343 – a Boeing 747-412F freighter – starting to taxi onto the runway at the Jomo Kenyatta airport at 12.39pm , eventually reaching a maximum ground speed of 151 knots, or about 280kmh, before slowing to a stop. The plane was scheduled to fly from Nairobi to Amsterdam on Monday at 6.30am .
