Prince William got a right royal welcome in East Belfast..he even got a big hug from one well-wisher
Mission forms part of a five-year locally led programme, delivered by The Royal Foundation, which will demonstrate that together it is possible to end homelessness: making it rare, brief, and unrepeated.One of their key areas of focus is responding to and preventing homelessness and the Prince spoke to representatives from the East Belfast Mission about their work to tackle homelessness and their new housing development ‘240’.
Homeless Connect, as the representative body for the homelessness sector in Northern Ireland, are pleased to be the official sector partner for the initiative here. "As a society we have a moral duty to do everything we can to support people experiencing homelessness and to prevent it from happening in the first place.
"Homeless Connect welcomes this new initiative from the Royal Foundation which will help to deepen relationships and partnerships between organisations working to see an end to homelessness.
