Lisburn author Sam McBratney wrote 'Guess How Much I Love You' which tells the tale of Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare
A Lisburn author's world-famous children's book is being celebrated in his home city as a new themed trail opens for adults and kids alike.
He wrote more than 50 books for adults and young children, with Guess How Much I Love You his most enduring work. One version of the trail is suitable for ‘little hares’ and another for older children – they will collect 16 brass rubbings along the way: together they make up iconic imagery featured in the book.
"When we were on book tours, it didn’t matter where we were in the world – he was always happy to return to his home town, Lisburn," she said.
