Join city staff, community groups and volunteers from around Berkeley to help clean up trash and plastic pollution along various areas of the waterfront. Inspired by California Impressionism and painted in shifting light conditions, Sheiner’s work echoes plein air painters from the past while also offering a fresh perspective. The paintings change in different lighting conditions as contemporary pigments reflect or absorb light differently in reaction to daylight and artificial light.

Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, and Catherine Blakespear, D-Encinitas, that would bolster California’s “red flag” law and other state statutes to prevent gun violence.
