Two free 90-minute sessions will be available both days at one the East Bay Regional Park District’s most popular facilities.
The city’s annual street sweeping began Sept. 18 and will continue for the next six months, through March. Street sweeping keeps storm drains clear during leaf drop season and requires that residents move their cars and any other obstacles blocking access to the curb off the streets on assigned sweeping days.
The Piedmont Police Department and city of Piedmont have invited community members to learn about recent crime trends and the city’s work to counter the problems at two meetings: a community town hall meeting this week and a Public Safety Committee meeting Oct. 5. The funds donated to support Lantern Projects are tax-deductible, and 100% of them go to the organization’s small humanitarian aid projects. The nonprofit requests funding for specific needs, and all donations are delivered directly to known contacts. The group’s wish list for this month and October includes the items below.
