The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said it was still deliberating on whether a retired police officer should face prosecution for his role in Haron's death.
CAPE TOWN - The family of Imam Abdullah Haron says they are but one of many families still waiting for justice.
On the 55th anniversary of Haron's tragic death in prison, the family is calling on the government to fast-track cases related to apartheid crimes. "The sad part is that although the NPA are the ones that must take the responsibility to do the thorough investigations on all these cases, the families have become disillusioned, disappointed... disgruntled."
