Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds proposed to his wife and the mother of his children, singer Aja Volkman, again.
The couple took to social media to explain, more than a year and a half after they"Well, the last two years have been transformative to say the least. I’ve never caused so much hurt or been so hurt by another human in my life. It took us a long time to really see each other," Volkman, 32, wrote onWednesday, in a lengthy caption of a post that ultimately announced her second engagement.
She wore a new ring on her finger and described how her and Reynold's romance – two very different people who wrote love songs, got married, had children – came at the expense of their identities.She opened up about a rough falling out, lots of crying, and ultimately forgiveness and reconciliation. But Volkman said she refused put her first wedding ring back on, because she needed things to be different.
So Reynolds presented her with a new one before 2020, after he got down on one knee and asked her if she'd be with him. "The answer has always been yes," she wrote, and showed off the too-big ring on her middle finger, as she posed in front of a Christmas tree.
