"You can trust us to get the economy working,” said IFP leader Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi who was addressing his party's provincial rally in Pietermaritzburg. “You can trust us to promote social cohesion. You can trust us to be tough on crime. You can trust us to fight gender-based violence. You can trust us to promote responsible land reform.
“You can trust us to fix the education system. You can trust us to improve the healthcare system. You can trust us to protect the environment.”The party is also pinning its hopes on Velenkosini Hlabisa as its KwaZulu-Natal Premier candidate.
