The party's been reacting to a video clip of Michael Khumalo speaking at a funeral recently.
The IFP Zululand District chair said that he would hire a family member to step into the role of the councillor who died and would replace an ANC official if he needed to.Cogta MEC Sihle Zikalala has called for a separate probe into Khumalo's comments.Spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila says no one has the right to threaten workers based on their political affiliations.
"The MEC has also directed the department to prepare correspondence to the municipality in order to seek answers and seek what steps will be taken to investigate this matter. "The MEC has also assured residents that his department if committed to ensuring that the rule of law is respected by municipalities and that the rights of workers are protected at all times."
