According to a study conducted by Atlas Ceramics which saw teams analyse the number of boutique hotels, listed buildings and monuments, interior designers and architects in each UK destination. The study looked to find the ugliest and most beautiful locations in the UK.
There's an uncountable amount of examples I could cram in here to convince you that Lancaster deserves to be no where near a list of ugly cities. Look at its beloved canalside pubs, its castle, and the river lune which threads through it for a start. Lancaster castle is so good looking, I'm surprised Dominic Cummings didn't bother de-touring to the North West during the pandemic.
The city centre is so brilliant because of how much it has to offer. Even behind the main market street, there are alleys full of independent businesses working together to make Lancaster what it is. One of the top examples of this is Sun Street.
