IEC Opens 2024 NPE Results Center: South African Elections
The Electoral Commission has officially inaugurated the National Results Operations Centre- ROC in anticipation of the forthcoming 2024 National and Provincial Elections., the National ROC will function as the principal command center for electoral activities. Additionally, it will act as a central point for political parties, independent candidates, observers, business leaders, and the media to obtain real-time election results.
Deputy Chief Electoral Officer for IEC, Masego Sheburi, supports the move to the new venue, Gallagher Convention Center, “The facility is suitable for our needs, being an exhibition facility, most of the basic infrastructure is already in place. While our preference would have been a state facility, it wasn’t possible this time, so we must ensure Gallagher functions effectively as our results center.
