ICYMI: National Consumer Commission issues recall for Dark and Lovely shampoo due to bacteria risk

The National Consumer Commission has recalled the shampoo in haircare brand Dark and Lovely's Moisture Plus relaxer kits and Dark and Lovely anti breakage kit.

Customers who purchased the relaxer kits have been urged to return the shampoo in exchange for a full refund. In a statement shared on Friday, the National Consumer Commission's Deputy Commissioner Thezi Mabuza disclosed that a quality control check revealed bacteria in the shampoo. The statement further explained that the bacteria may lead to scalp infections in those with compromised immune systems.
