Iarnród Éireann is reintroducing the option for passengers on Dublin-Cork services to book a quieter carriage from today
Iarnród Éireann has said the option will improve services for those who may have sensory issues, and will provide more choice for passengers.
"Having trialled quieter carriages in the past, the addition on its reintroduction of clear branding during online booking, and on the train itself, means the choice for customers will be clear, and where quieter carriages are on operation will be well signalled for all," a spokesperson said. From Cork to Dublin, it will run Monday to Saturday at 7am, 9.25am, 14.25pm, and 20.25pm; Monday to Sunday at 10.25am, 12.25pm, 16.25pm, and 18.25pm; and 8.25am, 13.25pm, 15.25pm, and 19.25pm on Sundays only.
