'I was nearly struck by thunder' - woman tells of ordeal before evacuation during Eastern Cape floods
Residents who were evacuated following devastating floods in the Eastern Cape are currently taking shelter in a church hall.
While Pitt, 71, ran to her front door, she was nearly hit by lightning when a thunderbolt struck the ground a few metres away, sending her reeling back against the door.
