Former Manchester United centre-back Gerard Pique has claimed that he wanted to head back to Spain after just six months at Old Trafford
Former Manchester United defender and Spain international Gerard Pique has revealed that he wanted to leave Old Trafford after just six months following his move from Barcelona as a 17-year-old.

"Also I was living with the family that was kind of tough because I didn't like the food, I was learning the language at the time and it was very difficult for me to communicate with them. Then after the first year, I was able to live alone and that change really helped me to be more independent and really enjoy that time at Manchester."
In his four years at the club, Pique helped the Red Devils win a Premier League, a League Cup, the FA Community Shield and the Champions League but the Spaniard can draw a clear line in the sand as to when he made up his mind to leave the club and head back to Barcelona in a move that would end up being the final transfer of his career.
