There are not many places to keep the kids entertained for 13 hours
For many people, a trip to a theme park is a rare treat that costs you an arm and a leg unless you go armed with piles of vouchers squirrelled away from cereal boxes. Then there are queues, roller coasters, deep-fried foods, a gift shop and a long drive home.
It's totally different, so much so that Tripadvisor named it the second-best theme park in the world last year. It's since slipped to sixth place in the world and second in Europe, but unless you fancy a trip to Brazil chances are it's one of the few you might actually be able to visit. Step up perhaps the greatest theme park app ever. Pre-arrival I selected which shows I wanted to watch and where I wanted to eat and it planned our day perfectly. We saw more than what we expected and didn't walk for hours either. Critically it also enabled us to get hold of live translations of the shows that you can listen to via your phone.
Then there's Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantomes, the best bird show I've ever seen, Mousquetaire de Richelieu, where horses dance in the rain indoors and Le Secret de la Lance, where a castle basically disappears in front of you.
