In September, Junior Khanye predicted Manqoba Mngqithi to get sacked as Mamelodi Sundowns coach before the end of the season.
The 53-year-old was given the boot this week and replaced with former Esperance coach Miguel De Azevedo Cardos. Since taking over Rulani Mokwena, Mngqithi has failed to win two cup competitions in the six months in charge.“It was a matter of time,” said Khanye on Mngqithi getting the boot.
After Mngqithi lost to Stellenbosch in the MTN8 semi-final, Khanye criticised the team’s lack of creativity. FIFA is set to confirm on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup. And here’s who’ll host the 2030 tournament.
