'I really worked hard': Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina on pity votes and legal challenges

Chidimma Adetshina , Miss Universe Nigeria, addressed concerns about her pageant journey and nationality.Adetshina emphasised her hard work and dedication despite legal issues surrounding her mother's identity.

Reigning Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, addressed the concerns of those who believed she bypassed necessary procedures to reach the pageant finals.Chidimma Adetshina to represent Nigeria at Miss Universe in November "A lot of people felt like it was a pity win, and I don't think it was. I feel like I really worked hard. Coming from the Miss SA journey and going through the whole experience, It might have been a slight difference compared to everybody else, but I feel like if you look at the journey that we've all been through, I feel really had the same experience that they did," Adetshina said.

She continued:"As I accept this honour, I want to share a vision that burns deeply within me, a vision of African unity and peaceful coexistence!
