'I’m a cleaning expert – here is the spot everyone forgets… and how not tidying can harm your health'
To tackle the dreaded oven deep clean, the cleaning guru explained: "You can get spray foams that more or less do the job for you in a very short space of time or, if you prefer to go chemical-free, if you fill an oven-safe bowl with water and place it in the oven for 20 minutes directly after use, it will produce enough moisture to loosen the grease and built-up dirt, so you can more effectively clean it.
When it comes to cleaning under your bed, Emily advised getting the hoover out on a monthly basis because dust can worsen allergies and even affect our breathing as we sleep."Apart from the fact that it's not very nice, making guests use dirty sheets, if bed sheets aren't washed regularly, they can cause allergies, asthma, skin conditions, and other health problems."
Emily encouraged everyone to "clean everywhere as frequently as possible", even the areas that don't seem like a priority. If dirt, grime and dust gathers in these hidden areas it can come back to bite us in the form of allergies and health hazards, she added.
