Ofcom has received nearly 2,000 complaints about I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – the majority objecting to Matt Hancock’s presence on the ITV show.
Around 1,100 people complained about Matt, 44, being in the Australian jungle, while others expressed concerns about how he was being treated by the other contestants. The show’s executive producer Olly Nash previously defended the decision to ITV, telling the news site that it’s up to the contestants if they want to leave.
Pop icon Boy George, who has been met with criticism himself due to his stint in prison, took major issue with Matt’s inclusion in the show. She told The Sun: "I'm so proud of George, he said how we all felt [on Wednesday] and it was hard to see him so upset.Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver also took issue with the politician and bit back at Seann after he defended his new mate.
