Later, I learned that our modern food system doesn’t cause harm only to animals, but also to farmworkers.that workers endure, the health of those who work on factory farms and in fields suffers.

After giving it some thought, I spoke to my parents about cutting meat out of my diet . Teenagers are often reluctant to break away from tradition, especially around the holidays, for fear of facing judgment from their friends and family. This is an understandable concern given that vegans are in the minority. When I made the decision to go vegan, it was initially met with confusion and well-meaning concern because food is such an important part of one’s culture.

Of course, I wasn’t so it’s important to communicate your motivation to your loved ones. Yes, it can be intimidating, but there has never been a better time to go vegan. You certainly won’t be alone given that
