Ivanka Trump can be heard off camera trying to help manage her father and offering feedback on lines for the video
The video shows Trump getting agitated and slamming his hands down on the podium, before saying he couldn’t see the lines very well.“I don’t want to say the election is over. I just want to say, ‘Congress has certified the results,’ without saying the election’s over,” he says.
The video was filmed a day after the riots, after multiple attempts from people close to Trump urged him to condemn the attack, the House committee revealed on Thursday night. “Within 15 minutes of leaving the stage, President Trump knew that the Capitol was besieged and under attack,” said Rep. Elaine Luria.
“And President Trump was treating it as a celebratory occasion,” she said. “So it just further cemented my decision to resign.”A retired D.C. officer, Sgt. Mark Robinson, testified via recorded video, saying that Trump knew about the amount of weapons in the crowd.
