For me it’s all intertwined, it’s all my art. I am walking art. This is what I do, and this is my instrument and the way I express my creativity and my art—it just so happens that it’s in the form of drag. But drag to me has always been dance centered. In dance, every number has to have a beginning, middle, and an end. It has to have a crescendo and take you on a journey, and I am programmed to think about that when I do drag numbers now.
