The Arizona Department of Transportation urges motorists to slow down, be prepared to merge into the open lane and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following lane and shoulder closures are in place:Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane near Black Canyon City overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday night, May 8, to Tuesday morning, May 10, and again from 7 p.m.
Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane from General Crook Trail to SR 260 daily from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday morning, May 9, to Thursday afternoon, May 12.The northbound I-17 right shoulder will be closed in multiple half-mile increments from the McGuireville Rest Area to Stoneman Lake Road daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday morning, May 9, to Thursday evening, May 12, and from 6 a.m. to noon Friday, May 13.
The northbound I-17 right shoulder will be closed near the Kelly Canyon exit daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday morning, May 9, to Thursday evening, May 12, and from 6 a.m. to noon Friday, May 13.The southbound I-17 left shoulder near New River Road will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday morning, May 9, to Friday evening, May 13.
The southbound I-17 right shoulder will be closed in multiple half-mile increments from the I-40 junction to Stoneman Lake Road daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Monday morning, May 9, to Thursday evening, May 12, and from 6 a.m. to noon Friday, May 13. Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane between State Route 179 and Cornville Road daily from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Monday morning, May 9, to Thursday afternoon, May 12.Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane near SR 169 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 9.Speed limits may be reduced in the work zones. For the most up-to-date information, visitADOT is installing high-speed fiber optic infrastructure along 67 miles of I-17 between the McGuireville Rest Area and Anthem Way.
