Developed and owned by Houston-based real estate firm Satya, the hotel has 298 rooms and adds another option to travelers on the edge of TMC Helix Park, a 37-acre life sciences campus under construction in the Texas Medical Center. The Houston Medical Center hotel submarket is outperforming the overall Houston market, with an average occupancy of 64.2 percent through April 2023, according to STR. That's up from 59.1 percent during the same period last year and 62.4 percent in 2019.
“We look forward to welcoming short- and-long term guests with well-equipped guest rooms, thoughtful service, and communal spaces for working, socializing and relaxing,” said Brett Ambrose, general manager of the hotels. Amenities include Anchor & Hearth Woodfired Kitchen, a full-service restaurant serving classic American dishes; Bayland Lounge, an open-concept lobby bar; a 24-hour fitness center; and lounge pool. Rooms offer views of the Houston Ship Channel, adjacent marina and the Fred Hartman suspension bridge. The meeting space has capacity for 1,200 attendees for conferences and events such as weddings.
The building, acquired by Netrality in 2015, provides network interconnections for carriers, service providers, and enterprise customers, including AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cogent, Crown Castle, Arelion, Megaport, HoustonIX, GTT, and Meriplex, according to Netrality President and CEO Gerald M. Marshall.
