Sudbury resident facing several charges as a result of April 30 crash

A Sudbury resident is facing four charges after police allege they drove drunk and caused a collision.

On April 30 just before 5:30 p.m., Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 in Greater Sudbury. Nobody was injured in the collision, OPP said, but one of the drivers was arrested under suspicion of being impaired and transported to the Sudbury detachment for further testing.The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 10 in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
