Two men held the woman as she leaned over the bridge edge and was loosing her balance
Two men have been branded "heroic" by West Yorkshire Police after saving a woman from falling off a motorway bridge.
Two members of the public saw the woman was unstable and leaning over the bridge. They held onto her as she teetered over the edge before manging to bring her back behind the railings.The motorway was closed in both directions while officers responded to the incident. Once the woman had been safely detained a short time later she was taken for mental health support.
Confirming the details of the incident, a spokesperson for WYP said: "Police are appealing to trace two heroic members of the public who saved a woman from a bridge over the motorway in Leeds at the weekend. Shortly before 6.30am on Sunday, police received reports of a woman on the wrong side of the railings on a footbridge over the M621 near to Junction 6 for Belle Isle Road.
