Saturday, 15 OctoberUniversity of Pretoria remained unbeaten but were unable to remain at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table following a goalless draw against Venda Football Academy on Saturday.
Lions, who edged Venda Football Academy 2-0 in midweek, needed a strike from skipper Owen Tau late in the second half to see off Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele and secured the maximum points.JDR Stars returned to winning ways to remain in the top-half of the table following a 2-1 victory over All Stars at the Giant Stadium in Soshanguve.
JDR though got the winner towards the end of the match with a header Abel Moeketsi following a delightful cross and extended the visitors winless run to four matches.Bottom-placed duo Platinum City Rovers as well Pretoria Callies cancelled out each other with a goalless draw in rescheduled encounter at the Wits Stadium.
