Fallen trees have been reported in 133 locations on the island since Sept 15, while floods were reported in 71 locations.
Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the Malaysia Meteorological Department has forecast the storms to continue until Sept 18. “On Sunday, fallen trees were reported in 90 locations, in which three houses and eight cars were also damaged.“As of 12pm today, we have received reports of fallen trees in 43 locations,” he told a press conference in Komtar on Sept 17.He said flash floods following heavy rain were also reported in 71 locations on the mainland today.
