Scotland's first minister Humza Yousaf has condemned Israel's actions after his mother-in-law made a tearful plea from Gaza, saying 'this will be my last video'.
Scotland's first minister has said 'collective punishment has to be condemned' after speaking of how his mother-in-law is 'trapped' in Gaza. Humza Yousaf said Elizabeth El Nakla - the mother of Mr Yousaf's wife Nadia - is in 'complete distress'. She visited Gaza last week with her husband Maged, when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel at the weekend. But the pair have since been 'trapped' following the subsequent reprisals.
' In a post alongside the video, Mr Yousaf said: 'This is Elizabeth El Nakla. She is my mother-in-law. A retired nurse from Dundee, Scotland. 'She, like the vast majority of people in Gaza, has nothing to do with Hamas. 'She has been told to leave Gaza but, like the rest of the population, is trapped with nowhere to go.
