Images show huge plumes of smoke billowing out in the east end of the city. Police have said that road closures are in place and have told residents to shut their doors and windows.

Police Scotland Greater Glasgow tweeted: "Officers are in attendance to assist with traffic management following a fire on London Road, Glasgow. "Motorists are advised to avoid the area as road closures are in place.
