The Shoprite Group has partnered with Standard Bank’s UCount rewards programme.
Standard Bank customers can now benefit from shopping at Shoprite and Checkers thanks to the bank’s UCount rewards programme, which has partnered with the retail group.“This partnership unlocks powerful synergies between Africa’s largest bank and Africa’s most extensive retail network,” Standard Bank personal and private banking CEO Funeka Montjane said.
The amount earned on purchases will depend on the user’s UCount level. Users will be able to redeem these points in-store and online. In the announcement regarding its new partnership, the Shoprite Group also noted that it FNB had terminated its partnership with the retailer effectice 31 March 2025. The partnership between Checkers and Discovery Vitality was launched in September last year. Customers can earn up to 75% back in Discovery Miles on more than 2,500 products.
